About Ashlyn
Some people decide to become musicians. For Ashlyn Weir, music has always been part of who she is.
From her earliest memories in Cleveland, Tennessee, Ashlyn was already proving she was creative. At just two years old, she would climb onto the family coffee table with a toy microphone and perform Hannah Montana concerts for anyone willing to watch.
By six, she was taking piano lessons, writing original songs, and performing in her father’s production studio. Creating music was never something she planned. It was simply what she was meant to do.
At the age of 10, Ashlyn moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona, where she continued developing her craft as a vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist.
Entirely self-taught, Ashlyn plays piano and guitar while continually refining her artistry through curiosity, practice, and an unwavering desire to express herself honestly.
As a child, she also discovered a love for the stage, appearing as a paid performer in A Christmas Carol at Arizona Broadway Theatre and spending years performing with Valley Youth Theatre under the direction of Bobb Cooper.
Like many young artists, Ashlyn’s journey hasn’t always been straightforward. During her late teens, she struggled with confidence and self-image, experiences that shaped both the person and songwriter she would become.
Through writing music, she found her way back to herself. Today, Ashlyn creates songs that tell honest stories about what it means to be human.
Ashlyn’s music lives somewhere between pop, indie, folk, and ethereal storytelling. Influenced by artists such as Lizzy McAlpine, Billie Eilish, Jessie Murph, Madison Beer, Abby Powledge, Leith Ross, Searows, and Sydney Rose, her songs explore love, loss, hope, heartbreak, growth, aging, and identity.
She often says she doesn’t choose to write music, she has to. Her songs begin with emotion first. Every lyric is a reflection of a moment, a memory, or a piece of herself that refuses to stay hidden.
Success, to Ashlyn, has never been about fame or fortune. It’s about connection. She believes the greatest gift is when someone hears a song and finds a piece of their own story inside it.
Outside the studio, Ashlyn loves hiking, mountains, lakes, road trips, thrifting, coffee, animals, and horror movie nights with her longtime boyfriend, Alex. Friends describe her as loyal, thoughtful, humble, authentic, and someone who always knows how to make people laugh.
On January 1, 2026, Ashlyn signed with 2SM:RECORDS, marking the beginning of the next chapter of her career. Following the release of her debut single “Find Me Somewhere”, she continues writing, recording, and preparing a collection of original music.
If there is one thing Ashlyn hopes people remember, it isn’t that she was a great performer. It’s that she was real.
“Be true to yourself.
Believe in who you are.
Never change for anything or anyone.”
